I drive all the way from OC to see EJ!!! He's the only one who's cut and styled my hair since our college days...way before he even went to hair school! And now my daughter can't let anyone touch her hair but EJ either - and she's only 14.

He's a natural! He's got talent, skills and a whole lot of style! Even if he can't go shopping with you, he's a text a way to give you his opinion on clothes, shoes and accessories. Many of his clients have become his closest friends because you just can't help liking him and trusting him, not just with your hair styling needs but also your friendship.

This review is for PILEN!

He is amazingly talented and caring. He took a shaitel (wig) that was wrecked (by someone else) and turned it into something wonderful -- which is no easy feat since the hair does not grow back!

Then I brought two more shaitels to him and asked him to choose one to cut shorter. He cut one of them to suit my face without losing the length and it now looks so natural! He told me not to cut the other one and within a few minutes of expertly styling it, Pilen showed me that it was perfect the way it is.

I'm SO happy and very grateful!

Overdue update... This is a cute salon on Larchmont where you can find EJ!!!!! Honestly, I always allow him to do whatever he wants to my hair... #shorthairdontcare #beingblondeisfun #balayagebyej3 #keepingitlong that's how much I trust him and you should too! He doesn't just cut and color your hair... he's gives you the "how to"... maintain the color... style... purchase the correct hair products on Amazon Prime... and of course the "what not to do's". There's only one hair way and that's EJ.

I've been a loyal customer of EJ's for two and a half years now, so I just wanted to follow up with some more accolades because he deserves it.

1. He's literally one of the most hard working and positive people I've ever come across. He will go out of his way to accommodate your needs and the only times he's ever told me no were when he was physically unable - like when he was working out of town or on location. Even then, he would ask why I wanted an appointment that day, and if I told him I had an event or a hot date, he would go out of his way to squeeze me in and make it happen, regardless of the time. In that same vein, this man is inexhaustible. Whenever I see him, he's super positive, energetic and he has a memory like an elephant - he remembers tiny details about me from conversations we had months ago - and it amazes me every time I meet him. So if you want to make your hair look fierce, just text EJ and he will make it happen no matter the time or day. I know for a fact he hasn't even scheduled a lunch break for himself on NYE and he'll be working from 8A-10P because so many women need his skills to help them look their best.

2. For the skill and experience level you're getting, the prices are very reasonable. I get compliments on my hair from legit strangers and it's not nearly as much as you'll pay for stylists with less experience who just happen to work in better-known salons.

3. He's super hip. This is not a huge deal but I do think it's important to have a hairstylist who's aware of the trends. I'm not that aware of trends in hair so it's great for me to have a hair stylist who's always learning new tips and tricks and suggesting little tweaks here and there.

4. A lot of beauticians I meet (hairstylists, makeup artists, estheticians) are very cagey about their products and tips. EJ is super open and tries to teach you everything you need to know to look your best every single day. I hate blow drying my hair but due to his enthusiasm, even I, the curmudgeon that I am, am trying it out.

All in all, he's a real gem in my beauty book and if you're looking to try out someone new or have the best hair of your life with a stylist who makes every appointment feel like a treat, then text him immediately.
